INGREDIENTS

  • 6 large apples (approximately 800g), washed and grated

  • 200g rolled oats

  • 100g walnuts

  • 100g sugar

  • 150g butter (+ extra for greasing the baking dish)

  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Finely grind the rolled oats and walnuts into a flour-like mixture using a food processor or an electric mixer. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add sugar and cinnamon.

STEP 2: Grease a baking dish with butter. Cover the bottom with approximately 1 cup of the dry mixture, pressing it down with your palm. Then, spread half of the grated apples on top. Cover the apples with 1-2 cups of the dry mixture. Follow this with the remaining half of the grated apples, and finally, add the remaining dry mixture. On top, distribute the butter, sliced thinly.

STEP 3: Bake the cake at 200ยฐC for 30 minutes. You can serve it cold or warm.
