INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Slice the bacon into thin strips and fry it until it becomes translucent. Remove the bacon from the pan and set it aside.
STEP 2: In the remaining fat, sautรฉ the chopped onions until they turn translucent. If there's not enough fat, add a little oil. Add minced garlic, and once it's fragrant, add the drained and rinsed brown beans.
STEP 3: Stir in the allspice, salt, pepper, sweet and hot paprika, bay leaf, parsley, and a pinch of cumin. Pour in the canned tomatoes.
STEP 4: Cover and simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
STEP 5: Transfer the mixture to individual fireproof (clay) dishes, leveling it with a spoon. Place the cooked bacon or sausages or ribs on top.
STEP 6: Bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (preheat the oven to this temperature beforehand).
STEP 7: After 15 minutes of baking, stir everything together so that the bacon or meat is evenly distributed among the beans (keep it covered), and continue baking for another 15 minutes.
