How to Make BUTTER CHICKEN CURRY

Marinade:

  • 1 piece of ginger (5 cm), sliced into larger pieces

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of paprika powder

  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric

  • 150 g of plain yogurt

Chicken:

  • 500 g of chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 200 g of tomato passata

  • 180 g of heavy cream

For Serving:

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

  • 1 sprig of fresh cilantro

  • Cooked basmati rice

MARINADE:

In a blender or food processor, mix all the marinade ingredients: fresh ginger, garlic, garam masala, paprika powder, turmeric, fresh cilantro, plain yogurt. Season with salt and pepper.

MARINADE:

Cut the chicken breasts into smaller cubes and place them in a bowl. Mix with the marinade and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or overnight.

CHICKEN:

Place a larger pan over medium heat and add the butter. Once the butter melts, add the chicken meat. Sautรฉ for 4 โ€“ 6 minutes until slightly browned. Add tomato passata and heavy cream. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 20 โ€“ 25 minutes.
